Hello, welcome to my private practice. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Indiana.  I recently moved to the quaint little town of Lanesville, Indiana from the Rocky Mountain State of Colorado. For me, the best part of being a therapist has been working with individuals, children/teens, couples, and families who have shared their life stories, their emotional pain, and their triumphs with me. I have witnessed so much courage, vulnerability, resilience, and transformation.

For over 27 years, the focus of my clinical work has been addiction and how it affects the individual, families, and children. Other areas of experience include grief/loss, survivors of domestic violence/sexual assault and narcissistic abuse, depression, anxiety, emotional focused couples therapy, attachment wounds, parenting in early recovery, individuals in early recovery, and compassion fatigue. I also enjoy supervising practicum/intern students and individuals seeking hours for licensure.

It can be a painstaking process trying to find a therapist. It is important that you find the right fit. My style as a therapist is professional while being down to earth and genuine. I bring a breadth of knowledge and an array of therapeutic skills and techniques. My theoretical framework is primarily rooted in attachment theory; however, I do utilize various other theoretical interventions such as Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Aside from being a therapist, I love teaching. I currently teach Intro to Psychology at a local community college. I have a wonderful husband and two amazing adult daughters and stepsons. Also, I can’t forget about our furry family members, Shaye, Eddy, Noche, and Pretty Boy. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking, traveling, baking, reading, and exploring new places in Kentuckiana.
